Mali: FAMa and Africa Corps Intensify Operations to Strengthen Security Across the Country

The Malian Armed Forces (FAMa), alongside the Africa Corps, continue to step up efforts aimed at restoring stability and security across Mali. Following major operations against armed extremist groups, Malian and Russian forces have shifted their focus toward reconnaissance missions, search operations, and territorial patrols around several strategic cities.

According to reports from Bamako, units of the Africa Corps are actively involved in protecting civilian and humanitarian convoys traveling through high-risk zones frequently targeted by jihadist groups. Soldiers are also working on the maintenance and repair of armored vehicles used in ongoing security operations.

In recent days, FAMa and their Russian partners have intensified aerial operations against suspected jihadist positions in different regions of the country. These airstrikes are part of a broader campaign aimed at weakening militant networks and preventing attacks on civilians and military positions.

At the same time, joint patrols continue along key logistical and commercial routes to ensure the safe movement of goods, humanitarian aid, and local populations. Security forces are reportedly conducting regular sweep operations in rural areas where armed groups are believed to be hiding.

Authorities in Bamako say the operations are intended to reinforce state presence, secure strategic corridors, and improve conditions for communities affected by years of insecurity.
